A devastated father was forced to carry his daughter's body 5km after he was kicked-out an ambulance when she died
on the way to hospital.
The heartbroken dad was seen in floods of tears clutching at seven-year-old Barsha Khemudu's lifeless body as he carried her through India's eastern Odisha state.
Barsha's parents had called for an ambulance on Thursday after she fell ill and her condition rapidly worsened.
An ambulance was sent on Friday but Khumedu died on the way to hospital in Malkangiri town. The couple pleaded with the driver to take them home, but they say he dropped them off instead.
Khumedu's father then carried her on foot for nearly 5km to a nearby village.
Officials say a complaint has been lodged against the against the driver, two medical officers and a state official.
